No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest. 

This contest is promoted by Read to Them for applicable literacy programs. 

This contest is open to families and schools in the continental United States.

Participation in a Read to Them literacy program is required to enter the contest. 

Eligible participants are elementary (K-5) schools within the continental United States and families with at least one (1) elementary (K-5) level child in their household. 

Contests takes place during the scheduled weeks for the reading event.

1. Read to Them will share a link to the program contest on the date that the reading program begins. Such link can be found on the Read to Them Digital Resource Hub, and additionally on any other platforms the organization sees fit. 

   • Participation in the contest is voluntary and is not required.

   • Read to Them staff will use a generator to select a random winner at the end of the program. The family/household who is chosen by the generator will win the grand prize.

2. Instructions and rules of participation will be posted on the contest entry page, and all submissions will be reviewed by Read to Them staff prior to an entry being accepted. 

3. Read to Them reserves the right to cancel or amend program contest’s rules, point system, and participation guidelines, with little to no notice, at the sole discretion of the organization. 

4. Read to Them is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with the contest.

5. Prizes will be as stated. No cash prizes will be offered. Prizes are subject to availability  and are non-transferable. Read to Them reserves the right to substitute prizes with  another of equivalent value with little to no notice provided in advance. 

6. The winning family will be chosen based on accumulation of votes. The family that  accumulates the most votes by the end of the program will be declared the grand prize winner. A family can only win once per twelve month period. Winners  are chosen at the sole discretion of Read to Them staff. 

7. Prize winners will be announced on Read to Them social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and contacted through email. 

8. Prize winners have three (3) days to claim their prize(s). After the allotted amount of  time, a second winner will be announced and the initial winner will have forfeited  their prize. 

   • Prize winners may announce their acceptance of the prize(s) through email, phone, or via their social media accounts. 

   • If prize winners announce acceptance of prize(s) but do not provide Read to  Them with an address or other solicited information needed to send the prize  within three (3) days, they will have forfeited their prize and it will be given to  another participant. 

9. Prize winners will be contacted for a mailing address to send contest prize(s). a. PO Boxes will not be received as acceptable mailing addresses. 

10. Read to Them contests are not in any way endorsed, sponsored,  administered, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or any other  social media platforms where contests are held. 

11. Read to Them shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change  or modify these terms and conditions. Such change shall be effective immediately  upon posting these terms and conditions for public view. 

12. With the consent of participating families Read to Them may re-use these images and material in social media and marketing communications. Winners/participants have the right to deny such usage, in such event participation in the contest will not be affected.

13. By entering this contest, participants are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
